- The IELTS examination involves Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking and caters for them all within a mere 3 hours.
- There are two variations of the IELTS test: Academic and General Training. The Listening and Speaking sections therefore are the same in both varieties, but the contents of the Reading and Writing parts are slightly different based on which test is taken.
- In both the IELTS tests, the Listening, Reading, and Writing sub-tests are done one after the other without any break in between.
- On the other hand, Speaking might be arranged to be completed up to one week before or after an individual’s remaining test parts depending on the availability of the test centre.
- Adding all the above examinations, the total examination duration can be summed up to 2 hours and 45 minutes.
